Redneck Slip-n-Slide or Redneck Water Park

What do you do when it is 100+ degrees outside and your parents don't want to drive to the local (45 minutes away) water park?

Well, you build your own in the backyard!

How to make your very own Redneck Slip-n-Slide:

Just pick up a couple of rolls of heavy duty plastic painter's drop cloth. Stretch out as far as possible, fold one side until it is 4 or 5 feet wide. Repeat with another drop cloth and then overlap each one by 2 or 3 feet to make your slide. Have one more a little wider for a landing pool at the bottom. Then you are ready to add water from a garden hose. A little dish washing soap (like Dawn) makes the slide extra slippery. And then run, dive and slide!!!

My Turn!!

You never know who has a concealed carry permit!!

This works quite well on flat to gentle sloping ground for the big kids. The little guys need a hill to get going. The younger kids run and plop down and lose most of their forward momentum.
