Four Ways To Spark Inspiration In Yourself

We all need a little inspiration in our lives.

The finding of solitude/taking a break is what works best for me. It is the something I seldom find time to do. THere is always one more thing to be done, completed, fixed, found or modified.

This leads into Set the Environment: quiet, relaxed, little to no background noise (like I said solitude)

Have you found what works for you?

Inspirational IdeasHave you ever wondered how the genius whiz kids in invention out there (Thomas Edison was the ultimate master) came up with those inspirational breakthroughs to get unstuck from the status quo in business or their personal lives? I will submit to you

Four Ways To Spark Inspiration In Yourself

Many long lists for what can inspire you at a detailed level exist in books and on the Internet that you can research and find something that you are in tune in with. But I think they fall into four broad categories and I will give some examples in each

We want to get "unstuck" from always doing the same thing and move forward otherwise we truly are stagnating in life and we are meant to shoot for our complete potential and grow constantly which leads to a fulfilling life.

So let's look at ways to find that spark, to uplift ourselves to be better:

  • Seek out a new experience. Do something completely different than normal. Talk to someone, email someone, communicate with someone you typically wouldn't. Travel. Lose the routine. Try cooking. Try camping. Do something different physically or with exercise. Read poetry or take up photography or painting. Attend a music concert or sporting event. Watch a movie.
  • Get inspired by people. Focusing more sharply on just people in general, share yourself with them, read what they write, learn from other people. Meet people EVERYWHERE online and locally in person or at a distance by email or phone.
  • Find solitude, take a break. Life is very busy. Paint a quiet zone somewhere in your world to meditate. Getting the noise out of your head will clear your head and help you better think next steps for your life. A walk on a pier at the ocean was a place I found recently.
  • Set the environment. Create an environment in your life that ALLOWS you to have an open heart, an open mind, an open spirit, so you can blossom. Surround yourself with what inspires you like nature, the web (web sites like StumbleUpon or TED talks or if on Twitter search out hash tags with #inspiration or watch an inspirational YouTube, motivational quotes), what you feel passion for, heart warming sights like dogs playing/children laughing, favorite music, a good book, or a hot cup of coffee or tea and just immerse yourself there. Also LET GO of something if it doesn't serve who you want to be. Be with the people you love as much as you can. They are a huge inspiration for you.

In the end you know you are successfully being inspired cause you are a wellspring of healthy positive ideas that as you prioritize them and select which ones to bring into your life you will continually be moving forward and not feeling stuck. Kind of like how one day at APPLE they came up with an idea for an iPod. I wonder if it was sketched out from a fruit found in their brown bag lunch sitting under a shade tree by a pond with ducks on a warm sunny summer day? You never know where your next breakthrough will occur.
