Looking straight down on the tulip. Last night about 6:30 pm.

Same flower, just a little closer

Tulip Bud

Tulip about ready to open

Double Tulip

About 7:45 this morning and the second tulip was beginning to bloom. Should be fully open sometime today.

Ground level view of two tulips

Same two from the side.

Still learning my camera. I should hve taken some on different settings just to see the difference.

Ours have not sprouted yet, but I expect to see a bit of green by the end of the weekend.

Than, every thing needs sun light to grow and bloom. In my yard the blooms are begin to dry up.

Hi Than, Wouldn't be fun to capture all this on time compressed video. I don't have the patience to try but it sure would be cool.

Thanks for sharing your spring flowers.  Life is better when there are flowers to photograph.

Hi Than, Great to see the flowers opening.  They are a little rushed in this area.  Hope they had a long enough sleep this winter.

Nice photos!

Than,  I do miss my tulip garden back in the Chicago area.  We don't have enough chill days here to grow them unless we dig them up every year and winter them in the freezer.  Maybe I'll head to the store and get some for the table.  Thanks for the inspiration.  Beautiful photos.
