Daily Devotional: Appreciate Honesty from Other People

Prayer Starter: Lord thank You for placing truly honest people in my life. Their honesty may make me uncomfortable at times, but I know that when I listen to them, You can help me become a better person.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (NIV)

Friends telling us about or weaknesses or faults. Most don't want to hear it, but we need to listen and then make the changes necessary in our lives.

Well said Than. I am so grateful for the witness both silent and verbal that I have had from trusted friends over the years.

Let's hope that we will be open for the needed changes.  Some men need to be reminded that being kind is more important than being right.

Than, I like this quote from Proverbs - we truly can help "sharpen" others by being positive and supportive.  I hope you're having a wonderful day.

Than, I love to be around honest people but more especially around honest spiritual people.

Than ~ this is such excellent advice.  And I agree.  Sometimes we don't want to listen others pointing out a weakness of ours, but we certainly can learn a great deal if we keep an open mind vs. a hurt ego.
