Daily Devotional: Don't Have an Exaggerated Opinion of Yourself

Prayer Strater: Lord, only through You am I worth anything and able to accomplish anything. I release any pride I may be holding on to, knowing that when I succeed and excel, it's because of Your grace and goodness.

Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

This is something that non-believers and new believers have a very hard time accepting. I was taught that I was responsible for my actions and I had to do things to succeed. This states that you succeed by putting your faith and trust in God. In other words, you are letting go and letting Him handle it all.

Honestly, I still have a hard time with this concept.

Than, so many think they can follow all the rules and regulations and therefore be elibible to enter Heaven but like the verse says "none are worthy, no not one".
