Daily Devotional: It's OK to Enjoy Your Life

Prayer Starter: God, I realize now that You want me to enjoy my life and reward myself. Instead of feeling guilty and never stopping for a break, I choose today to experience the joy that You planned for me.

Ecclesiastes 2:24 There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God.

Having balance in your life is very important. You are not supposed to work yourself to death. You are supposed to enjoy the 'fruits of your labor'.

I do, often, need permission to enjoy myself. There's so much to do and so little time to do it that there's a sense of guilt if I'm not working all the time. Your post is the perfect cure for what ails me today - thank you!

Than, Jesus often stopped and enjoyed himself on the sea shore and we can do the same.

I am praying that the next deal goes through so I don't have to feel guilty.  But it is up to him.
