Daily Devotional: Every Day Is a New Day

Prayer Starter: God, thank You for the gift of a new day. Instead of focusing on the frustrating things in life, I choose to be at peace in You and rejoice and be glad in it!

Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Every day is a great day, every day has unlimited potential! Don't limit yourself by thinking only of you. Focus on God and of loving others and you days will be full of joy.

I am rejoicing in this weeks good luck.  Hard work and some listening to a higher power.

The other day, someone asked me where we like to vacation? I said wherever we are. I went on to explain that I live in Heaven on earth so everyday is a vacation... no matter where I am. This verse is the basis for that mindset. I also just read this morning that James, the author of the book of James was nicknamed Old Camel Knees in the 1st century church because his knees were so calloused from praying on his knees. That's where the rejoicing comes from.
