Daily Devotional: Open Your Heart of Compassion (12/7/12)

Joyce Meyer's
Daily Devotional:
Open Your Heart of Compassion

Prayer Starter:  God, I don't want to live selfishly oblivious to the needs of others. I open my heart to receive Your compassion so that I can help others.

1 John 3:17-18 NASB

17 But whoever has the world's goods, and sees his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but in deed and truth.

If you choose to help distressed sellers and choose to be your specialty in real estate  you are truly a compassionate person! Have a joyous Holiday, and we all can look forward to a happy and prosperous New Year. 2013 should be very interesting.

This time of year it is easy to be thoughtful, but we need to keep itup all year long.

I do believe in helping others but sometimes I see men and women on the side of the road with signs requesting money for help. I look at them and ask God to help me know deep inside of me if they really need money. Many here in our area don't need the help and have regular good jobs. Some better than my day job. I do give cash and food to those in need.
