First Tulips for 2013

Tulips, Purcell, OK

Well, these are the first ones in my yard for 2013. I was surprised by them yesterday afternoon when I was checking out the flower beds and shrubs.

Tulips, Purcell, OK 2

There is one more to bloom in this little group of color. We had a nice rain last night and some hail and they came through it quite well.

A friend of mine laughed at me because I said I love tulips.     I know love is a strong word but I do.  They are my favorite flower.  In my last home, I had over 600 bulbs in the ground.  I just purchased this home 2 years ago and working on it again.   Thanks for sharing your photo with this tulip lover.

Than, those are beautiful! I just picked up a bouquet of tulips of that exact color. Happy Easter and enjoy this glorious day!

WoW Than. Early tulips. I need to plant some. We usually have good weather by now but alll our flowers are holding back. It is 22 degrees this morning. Crazy for here at this time of year.

Than, flowers are popping up everywhere now, crocus are almost done, hyacinths are in full bloom and daffodils and tulips are nearly ready to bloom.    FUN!
