Seems like everything the government touches is a disaster.  Way too much bureaucracy involved.  The healthcare industry is an absolute nightmare.

I wonder what heavily regulated gas and energy cost would do to the chart.  I thought food prices had climbed more than that, or maybe that is recently. But food price climbs are due to government controll of the economy too.

The wrong end of the funnel. The local level and working the other way works best rather than trickle down.
