Community Healthcare Awareness Event

Are you currently uninsured, or know someone who is?  Do you have Medicare or Medicaid but haven't been able to find a medical provider accepting new patients?  Would you like to find a place where there are medical care providers for all the ages in your family, from infants through seniors?

The Heart of Oklahoma Kiwanis invites the public to meet and hear from Lisa Schmidt, Director of Development for Variety Care in Norman on Monday, August 18th from 6:00-7:00pm at the Rodney's Pizza.

Variety Care is a nonprofit community health center with locations in Norman, Oklahoma City, and several rural communities.  Variety Care's mission is making high quality health care accessible to Oklahomans of all ages.  Services include medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as assistance with medications and lab costs for low-income patients.

For more information about the event, please message us on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HeartOfOKKiwanis.  It is not necessary, but is highly encouraged to RSVP for the event so that we may provide adequate seating.

For more information about Variety Care, visit www.VarietyCare.org.

Pet of the Week

Meet George and Laci

Laci is giving the kiss and George is happy to get it! These two were brought in separately this past week, but have quickly became buddies.  Both are looking for someone to love.  Just look at how sweet these two are, they are just waiting to share some love with a new owner.  George and Laci are lab mixes, both under the
age of 3.  If you are in need of getting some love, as well as sharing some, please call the Purcell Shelter at 527-0222.

Than, Just stopping by to say hi.  I am still laughing at the comment you left on Mr. Mucci's post the other day.  What a hoot!

Kathleen Daniels Been trying to find another of your posts then I decided a comment would be too off topic.

Anyway, I try to keep my warped and dry humor to myself, but sometimes I can't stop myself. Roger just set it up too well.
